(COLUMBUS, Ohio) — Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted today announced that millions of dollars remain available through grant programs to aid Ohio businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Ohio’s economy is coming back strong, and these grants can help ensure that businesses in hard-hit sectors benefit from our resurgence,” said Governor DeWine. “These businesses are an essential part of our state, and we want to make sure they continue to open their doors to Ohioans.”

“These funds were prioritized to help small businesses rebound from the pandemic and can be used to modernize equipment, hire more employees and make needed upgrades to their facilities, so they can continue to be competitive, create jobs and serve their communities,” said Lt. Governor Husted.

The grant programs are being administered by the Ohio Department of Development (Development).

“Small businesses are the backbone of the Ohio economy, and these grants can make a critical difference to businesses that saw their revenue drop in 2020,” said Lydia Mihalik, director of Development. “Ohioans rely on these businesses every day, and the businesses can rely on us to help them rebound.”
