The Electric Partnership Program (EPP) works to reduce the electric use of Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP PLUS) customers.
Customers receive an energy audit, from a trained energy auditor, to identify how the household uses electricity and how the household can improve its efficiency. Customers can receive cost effective retrofits which can include compact fluorescent light bulbs, aerators, refrigerators, freezers and repairs.
Individuals who are at or below 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines and must be a customer of either American Electric Power, Dayton Power and Light Company, First Energy or Duke. EPP Participants must use at least 5,000 annual base load (non-heating and non-cooling) kilowatt hours and lastly, they must have at least 12 consecutive months of electric usage history at their current address.
