To improve the water and sanitary sewer systems and water quality in rural Ohio communities.
The program provides grants for infrastructure projects that provide water and/or sanitary sewer service to primarily residential users.
Non-entitlement counties, small cities and/or villages are eligible for the program. Counties must apply on behalf of unincorporated areas and villages that do not operate a public water or wastewater system

Eligible communities can apply for up to $500,000 per project. An additional $100,000 is available per project for on-site improvements. A community may apply for assistance for multiple projects during a program year.
