Governor's Office of Appalachia Programs

Purpose

To advocate for Ohio's Appalachian region and coordinate economic and community development projects as well as partnerships that improve the lives of Ohioans living in the 32-county region.

Program

Provides funding to local governments and nonprofit organizations for projects that support economic development, job creation or community development. Projects include, but are not limited to, water, sewer and road infrastructure, workforce training and equipment for organizations such as hospitals or schools.

How Much

Maximum loan amount is $1,000,000. Small businesses and Manufacturers may borrow up to 80 percent of eligible project costs. Public entities and Non-profits may borrow up to 90 percent of eligible project costs.
