When Ohio historic buildings are revitalized, they have a catalytic economic impact within their community. The process of historic rehabilitation can be daunting, including the initial step of nominating the historic building for the National Register in order to qualify for development incentives.
The Ohio Historic Preservation Pipeline Pilot Initiative provides small grants and technical assistance to assist in nominating historic buildings and districts to the National Register of Historic Places. Being listed on the Register makes those properties eligible for the tax incentive.
