This publicationcontains the 2010 Total Population showing how many individuals are in households and group quarters. Group quarters include institutionalized and non-institutionalized individuals. You will also find Housing Units which show Total Occupied Units as well as units that are owned, rented or vacant.

Business & Industry - Insurance Industry
Ohio's insurance industry (NAICS 524) provided ser-vices valued at close to $17.7 billion in 2009 – nearly 4.2 percent of the U.S. total, and ranking the state eighth in the nation. The $17.7 billion represents 3.8 percent of Ohio’s Gross Domestic Product. This is greater than the insurance industry’s 3.0 percent of U.S. Gross Domestic Product, indicating a concentration of the industry here.

Population & Housing - Poverty Report
This report provides a general description of trends and variations in poverty in Ohio. Four sections follow this introduction and executive summary. The first shows how poverty rates in Ohio have changed over time, and compares them with rates for the nation. Comparisons and variations with contemporary unemployment rates and inflation-adjusted per capita income are discussed. The second notes variation between counties and other kinds of geographic areas. The third shows variations and trends in poverty rates by social circumstances and personal characteristics such as employment history, public assistance, education, household and family type, age, race, and Hispanic status. The fourth is an appendix with detailed tables and discussions of the measurement of poverty and income inequality. The graphs and many of the discussions herein are based on, and refer to, the appendix tables.

Population & Housing - 2010 Census Counts
The 2010 Census Population Counts for Ohio Counties, Cities, Villages and Townships. The benchmark population counts for 2010, 2000, and 1990 are listed by county for each of Ohio cities, villages and townships. Cuyahoga County is the largest county with 1,280,122, while the largest city is Columbus at 787,033, and the largest township is West Chester Township in Warren County with 60,958.
Business & Industry - Motor Vehicle Industry Report
1,100,000 cars and trucks were assembled in Ohio in 2010 – the second largest output of all the states. This report describes the size, location and trends of motor vehicle industry manufacturing establishments in our state. There are profiles of Honda, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler, who combined to produce over 1.1 million cars and light trucks. Multi-year data are provided, as well as, an analysis of trends impacting high-volume assemblers and hundreds of Ohio-based suppliers. An Input-Output model of Ohio’s economy suggests that 398,000 people depend upon the motor vehicle industry cluster for their jobs and income.
Business & Industry - Ohio Private Investment Survey
The Ohio Department of Development annually compiles a database on announced business expansions and attractions. The database is gathered in a year long process of surveys of state agencies, chambers of commerce, and local development agencies. These projects are submitted to Site Selection Magazine which annually ranks states based on the number of qualifying projects. State rankings are usually published in early March.
