“Alison’s workforce development experience is beneficial in building partnerships with local businesses and state government to create effective workforce strategies,” said Barbash.  “I’m confident her background, coupled with her understanding of state and local programs, will assist the East Central region in our workforce development and expansion efforts.”

Kelley joined the Ohio Department of Development in 2006 as Program Representative for the Ohio Investment in Training Program, where she coordinated manufacturing and economic development projects, and assisted in business expansion strategies.  Prior to her appointment, Kelley was a customer consultant/trainer at Michigan Works! in Atlanta, Michigan.  At Michigan Works!, Kelley helped coordinate efforts for several programs including the Workforce Investment Act Young Adult Program, Trade Adjustment Program, Dislocated Worker Program, and the On-the-Job Training Program.

Kelley holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, North Carolina.
