FISHER ANNOUNCES SMALL BUSINESS RESOURCE WORKSHOP Workshop Highlights Resources and Assistance for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs

Columbus, OH -- Lieutenant Governor Lee Fisher today announced that the Ohio Department of Development's Entrepreneurship and Small Business Division, in partnership with Southern State Community College and the Ohio Business Connection, is sponsoring a Small Business Resource Workshop highlighting state resources and assistance for small businesses and entrepreneurs. The free workshop will be Friday, October 3, 2008 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Southern State Community College's North Campus, 1850 Davids Drive in Wilmington, Ohio.
"Small businesses are among the largest growing percentage of Ohio's businesses and play a key role in our state's economy," said Lt. Governor Fisher, who also serves as Director of the Ohio Department of Development. "We are pleased to sponsor this workshop that will serve as an excellent resource for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and aspiring entrepreneurs."
The workshop, designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs manage the current economic climate, will feature presentations on state resources and services, federal assistance from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Ohio Small Business Development Centers Network, and online resource tools. Representatives from the Ohio Department of Development's Entrepreneurship and Small Business Division, U.S. Small Business Administration, Ohio Small Business Development Centers Network, Manufacturing Technology Small Business Development Center, International Trade Assistance Center, Ohio Procurement Technical Assistance Center, and the Ohio Business Connection will be available to answer questions from small business owners and entrepreneurs.
