Columbus, OH -- Lt. Governor Lee Fisher today announced that he has accepted the resignation submitted by Frankie Coleman, Assistant Manager of Workforce Development at the Ohio Department of Development. Coleman submitted her resignation to the department today, effective Friday, June 8, 2007.
"I respect Frankie's decision to leave the Ohio Department of Development," said Fisher, who also serves as Director of the Ohio Department of Development. "Frankie has a solid background in workforce development and was hired to utilize her expertise in this area to strengthen Ohio's workforce programs. We will commence a search for a new assistant manager of workforce development as we continue to evaluate the state's workforce development programs and build a more effective system for an educated and skilled adult workforce."
Coleman was hired by Fisher as Assistant Manager of Workforce Development on February 26, 2007.
The department has been cooperating with the State Inspector General with his investigation into allegations pertaining to timesheets submitted by Coleman for hours worked.
