The Mahoning Valley Health Care Center is a 66-room facility that will provide assisted living and nursing care in Springfield Township. The $8.3 million project is expected to create 71 jobs. CDBG funds will be used specifically to install approximately 2,600 linear feet of street, water, sewer, flood and drainage infrastructure.

The CDBG Economic Development Program provides funding for economic development projects that create and/or retain permanent, private-sector job opportunities. The grants enable local governments to provide public improvements directly related to business development and financial assistance to private entities for economic development projects. Jobs created through this program must benefit primarily low- and moderate-income Ohioans.
