EERE Options - Summary Reports

Energy covers a wide array of topics and interests, ranging form electricity, to space heating/cooling, to transportation. The generation and consumption of energy have large impacts on our daily lives, our economies, and our environment. Proper energy planning and regulation helps to ensure that energy prices remain low, resources are managed properly, negative impacts are minimized, and positive impacts are maximized. This page contains a number of documents that introduce aspects of energy policy and its impact on Ohio. 

• Ohio: Securing America's Energy Future, Options for Increasing Ohio's Role in Our Nation's Energy Independence for Energy Economics and the Environment, 2006
  This report compiles background information and policy options generated during the 2006 Ohio Energy Summit, cosponsored by Senator George Voinovich and the Ohio University, and subsequent follow-up focus groups. Topics covered in this report include fossil fuel and nuclear power, transportation, sustainable development, clean alternative energy technologies, and energy education.
