Are grants available for starting a business? Where do I get grant information?
As a general rule, grant dollars are not available to help start a small business at the state or federal level. The federal website for grant programs is www.grants.gov or ask your local library for a copy of The Grants Guide.

How can I get a Small Business Administration (SBA) loan?
SBA loans are administered exclusively through programs that are designed to encourage commercial lenders to make loans directly to business owners and entrepreneurs. Please contact your local Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) for assistance with SBA loan programs.

A borrower's credit score is critical to the approval of a commercial loan.
